Fatal Motorcycle Accident Claims Life on SR35 Near Saratoga Gap

A tragic motorcycle accident resulted in a fatality on State Route 35 near Saratoga Gap in Santa Cruz County earlier today. The incident occurred at approximately 12:38 PM near the Zen Center, located at 12100 SR35. Emergency responders, including CAL FIRE and the California Highway Patrol (CHP), were dispatched to the scene.

According to initial reports, the accident involved a solo motorcycle crash. Despite the prompt arrival of emergency services, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin. The Santa Cruz County Coroner’s Office has been notified and is handling the investigation.

The accident has led to significant traffic disruptions in the area, with authorities implementing one-way traffic control to manage the flow of vehicles. Motorists are advised to exercise caution and expect delays while traveling through the area.
