Solo Vehicle Collision on Byron Highway Results in Road Closure and Life Flight
A solo vehicle collision occurred late this evening on Byron Highway near Marsh Creek Road, resulting in significant road closures and emergency response efforts. The incident was reported at approximately 9:23 PM on August 26, 2024, with emergency services arriving on the scene shortly thereafter.
According to initial reports, the vehicle involved was traveling westbound when it veered off the road and crashed. CPR was administered on-site, and Narcan was used as part of the emergency response. A life flight was dispatched from Excelsior School to transport the injured party to a nearby medical facility. The identity of the driver and the extent of their injuries have not yet been disclosed.
The collision caused the westbound side of Byron Highway to be blocked, leading to significant traffic delays in the area.
