Early Morning Collision on I-80 in San Francisco Leaves One Injured
An early morning traffic collision on westbound I-80 near Harrison Street in San Francisco resulted in significant vehicle damage and left one person injured. The incident occurred at approximately 3:06 AM on September 1, 2024, involving a Honda CRV and another unidentified vehicle.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the Honda CRV collided with an old bus station, causing major front-end damage. The second vehicle involved in the collision was found approximately 100 feet from the initial crash site. Emergency responders arrived promptly, and one individual was reported to be conscious but unresponsive. The injured party was attended to by medical personnel on the scene.
The collision led to the temporary blockage of lanes 1 through 3, causing significant traffic delays. The roadway was cleared by 4:05 AM, and normal traffic flow resumed shortly thereafter.
