Early Morning Collision on SR-92 Leaves Driver Injured
An early morning traffic collision occurred on westbound State Route 92 at the Hesperian Boulevard offramp, resulting in significant disruptions and injuries. The incident took place at approximately 1:21 AM on August 28, 2024, when a white pickup truck collided with a tree, veering off the road and landing 30 feet down an embankment.
Emergency services were promptly dispatched to the scene. The driver, who reported a broken leg and was trapped inside the vehicle, was attended to by paramedics and subsequently extricated. The offramp was temporarily closed for about 30 minutes to facilitate the towing of the vehicle, causing both lanes to be blocked during the operation. All lanes were reopened by 3:34 AM.
The accident underscores the importance of cautious driving, especially during early morning hours when visibility can be reduced. Motorists are advised to remain vigilant and adhere to speed limits to prevent such incidents. Our thoughts are with the injured driver, and we wish them a swift recovery.
