Traffic Collision on I-680 in San Jose Leaves One Injured

A traffic collision involving two vehicles occurred this afternoon on southbound Interstate 680 at the McKee Road east on-ramp in San Jose. The incident took place at approximately 3:51 PM on September 4, 2024. A gray sedan collided with a white van, causing significant damage and resulting in at least one injury.

Emergency services, including the California Highway Patrol (CHP) and San Jose Fire Department, responded promptly to the scene. An adult female passenger in the white van was observed holding her head and appeared to be injured. She received immediate medical attention, and an ambulance was dispatched to transport her to a nearby hospital. The collision caused partial blockage of the roadway, leading to traffic delays in the area.
